My friend is moving to FL soon and was wondering. I told her about the fingerprints for adults but I didn't think they did this for kids. How do they ID the kids?

There is no ID on the kids cards. With the way kids grow, the finger identifier would not work.

The kids Florida resident annual passes are on the honor system. I am sure it is not overly abused.

When kid's passes are purchased, it's pretty much always by an adult, and that adult has Florida ID. Therefore, Disney takes the word of the adult that the kids are residents as well.

FYI -- it's not a "fingerprint" system. No fingerprints are taken. What is used is a biometric scan.

Not coincidentally, Age 10 is also the age when people must have adult tickets rather than child tickets.
