DH and I have been to WDW (Magic Kingdom only) once-on our honeymoon, but this will be the first trip for my kids. We are dh (40) me (38) ds (9) and dd (6)

We will be driving in from Iowa, taking a couple days for the drive, and plan to arrive in Orlando late morning/early afternoon on 6/10/07.

6/10/07- Check in Buena Vista Suites. MGM Studios - there are only a few things we want to do here, so if we get in early enough, we will try for a few hours. We are not SET on this, depends on how we feel. We are all used to long car vacations, so I think we will be fine.

6/11/07 - MK for rope drop, lunch at Crystal Palace at 11:30, rest in the afternoon, then Epcot in the evening

6/12/07 - "Sleep in" day. Kids are on Pirate cruise at CBR 9:00 to 11:30, then AK.

6/13/07 - (dh turns 41 today!!) CRT at 8:25, then MK, resting and snacking mid-day. WCC for dh's birthday dinner at 5:30, then back to MK for the rest of the evening.

6/14/07 - Epcot. Break in afternoon where we will check out of BVS and check into Nick Hotel. Back to Epcot in eve.

6/15/07 - Spending day at Nick Hotel pools, etc.

6/16/07 - Check out of Nick Hotel, go to Park of Choice if kids want more park time. Drive to Panama City in late afternoon. Check into By The Sea resort for 6 nights.... and a whole other set of day plans, which I am sure you all aren't interested in:rolleyes:

Thanks in advance for any feedback!!!

I think it looks fine. You've made breaks for yourself, that's great!

There have been mixed reviews about the Nick Hotel. Go over to the Orlando Boards and check out some reviews. I know that we didn't care for it, it was expensive, dirty, and just not alot of fun. We stayed there for 4 nights 2 years ago. Plenty of people like it. I'm sorry to throw this at you, but don't believe all the advertising they are putting out there. Check out trip advisor (although everyone who posts there seems to hate every hotel, but that's another story). Have a great trip:goodvibes

Thanks for your feedback. I have read the reviews, and would rather not go to be honest, but my kids REALLY want to stay there. They have, of course, seen the commercials, but what sealed it for them is our dentist just got back from taking her kids there and RAVED about it. Her kids and my kids have a lot in common, so I think my kids will really enjoy it. But, I think 2 nites there will be MORE than enough for dh and I!!!!! I haven't told my kids they get to stay there, thought I would save that as a suprise (since there was NO WAY I could keep the whole trip a secret) and also they don't know about the pirate cruise or Crystal Palace or CRT.

I'm so glad that you "got" my post. Things sometimes don't interpret how you want them thought postings.

I must say that the kids did enjoy it, it was DH and I that were the sticklers. Have a GREAT GREAT time.
