How do the current incentives rate?

We are looking at adding on sometime in the (near) future.

According to DVCnews.com the current incentives for AKL are:

$120 per point 25-99 points
$120 base price less $18 promotional discount; 100+ points

Special Offer: For a limited time, receive an additional $2 discount on add-ons of 100 or more points PLUS a $500 prepaid Visa card

I know resale can be in the $75 to $80 range, but if I am reading this correct, it would be $95 per point as a grand total...

I would get exactly the number of points I need in the UY I need and no wait...

Are the current incentives that good? I know its just a total guess, but how do these stack up with others over time?

Honestly, I think it is pretty good. I think AKV got down to the lower 90's at one point over the past two years that I have been following prices, but to be honest, $95/ppt for 100 points is really a pretty good deal for buying direct.

according to the ROFR thread, the last three AKV contracts passed at $72, $73 and $73. It's pretty simply math from there, not sure how many points your getting but subtract the 500 or so on closing costs, and the 500 gift card.

Other than immediate use, which obviously can be a factor, it certainly has to be cheaper to buy resale.

I am tempted to see what happens after 3/20 with the resale prices. I really only want to use my points at WDW, so losing some of the benefits doesn't bother me.

I am looking at 125 points, so the savings could be in the area of $3,000.

I know disney and guides can pull some magic, but can they do this...

I have a small BWV contract (paid off) and if I wanted to sell that, the points are on current reservations. If I bought direct at AKL, could the re-adjust the points that are used from the BWV contract to the AKL contract? Then I could sell the BWV contract and not have to delay closing?

I am just finding it so hard to use that small of a contract...

Never hurts to ask, you are not asking them to do anything except move points I would think it would be a win situation for them as well as to you.
