how do the bands work with extra hours

You used to have to show your room key to get on rides during extra magic hours. How will this work with the wrist bands now?

From my understanding only resort guest get magic bands. So I'm assuming it will be the same , just show your magic band and they will know you are a resort guest.

I would like to know as well. Im also cufious if FP+ can be used during extra hours? My guess is no, and probably isnt really needed, but I am wondering about it.

I've yet to see FP+ offered during EMH. Legacy FP was only rarely used during EMH.

And yes, you show your band now to access rides during EMH.

In December they checked if you were on site before they let you in the park. CMs were walking around with portable scanners. I'm pretty sure they can program the turnstiles to do this automatic in the future.

I imagine eventually they will start scanning bands at the ride entrances. Either that, or they will just turn a blind eye to people who ride using old MB.

However, I would put my money on the former, considering there is talk of them testing magic bands for offsite guests.

According to even the earliest Disney announcements, MagicBands were always to be offered for all guests. It's just who got them included (onsite or APs) or who had to pay extra for them.

There are no FP+during the EMH and there are CMs at every ride with portable scanners to scan your Magic Bands.
