How do September ressies look at BWV, BCV, VWL?

I've tried and tried to get a ressie at different times of the month in October at some place other than SSR, and it's just impossible. I'm considering just cancelling my October reservation and doing September instead w/o DH.

How hard are September ressies to get at this time? I'm looking for a studio at BWV, BCV, or VWL.

Did you try to change exactly at the 7 month window? October is a popular month for the EPCOT resorts, but there have been qiute a few posts that say members were able to book the smaller resorts at 7 months for October. Just trying to get a feel for the dates the studios are all booked and how far in advance that may have happened. Thanks for anything you are willing to share.

September should be easier. Please let us know what MS has available. Also why are you eliminating SSR and OKW from consideration? Both are very nice resorts. October is better (normally) from a weather standpoint as well. I'd grab the SSR studio in October or see about OKW. Give SSR a try and report back.

Did you waitlist for those three resorts? Typically something will open up at VWL, BCV or BWV by the time October gets here. I imagine that it'd take you less than a month on the waitlist.

BWV is especially likely to open up because its so much bigger than the other two. However if you are going during Food & Wine then VWL may be more likely to open up. I'd go ahead and make my reservation at SSR in October (OKW studios have two queen beds) and then waitlist on a day by day basis for the others. If the waitlist doesn't come through SSR is an ok place to stay and you will save some points.

Another option is to stay at a moderate in the Disney collection. The main difference is that you won't have a microwave and you might not get certain DVC privileges.

PS. Another reason to go with October and SSR/waitlist is certain pesky weather conditions in Florida during the August/September timeframe.

I was able to get a 1 bedroom in late September @ BCV with basically no problems. I have 150 points that I borrowed from '06 (I banked my '05 points and I have an Oct UY), so I have to use them before the end of Sept.

I really wanted BWV, BCV, or VWL basically b/c those feel "Disney" to me. I want to try OKW, but not right now. Same for SSR...it doesn't appeal to me at all.

No problem in Sept. With the free dining most are booking the Non DVC resorts.

We are wait listed for one night for our up-coming Sept-Oct trip to VWL. DW wanted to try something new but I'd love to stay at SSR. Feels like home.
