How do NOJ wristbands work?

I've read that the parks are cleared at 6pm, but also that the NOJ crowd is let in at 4pm. I can't picture the logistics of moving this many people! We are planning dinner at CP; if we are eating when the park is cleared (if that actually happens) how does that work? Anyone experienced with this type of event? Does MNSSHP/MVMCP work the same way? Thanks!

MNSSHP and MVMCP allow guests to come in starting at 4 pm with just their party ticket, those guests are issued wristbands and when the park officially closes they are sent to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland to wait for the official start time of the party. This gives them the opportunity to clear the park of the day guests while the party guests are still able to enjoy the attractions in those two lands.

I have not been to a NOJ so I am not sure how they work that. If they are clearing the park and reopening and you have a dining reservation they will let you stay at the restaurant until the park officially opens and then the restaurant manager will validate your ticket and release you to the park when it is time. (That is how they used to do halloween and christmas, until they decided to to the 4pm entrance). Someone else who has gone to NOJ might be able to answer your specific question a little better, but either way you will not have to leave and re-enter.

Thank you for that explanation! I called the NOJ hotline, and she said pretty much the same thing. She said if we were eating at a restaurant when the park closed, the manager could validate our tickets-not clear on what that actually means. I've never witnessed one of these ticketed events. I'm really curious to see how they filter out the guests. It will be a new experience for us!
