How do Mytravel collect API?

When I flew to NY last year I had to provide my advance info before I flew online with BA. How do Mytravel collect it?

We're on a package. Dh is at work so I'll answer.

When I travelled with My Travel on 24th May 2007 from Glasgow the information was collected before joining the check-in queue by someone with a laptop asking you questions.
It was the same on the return from Sanford.

If you're on a package, they should collect the API info they need at check-in - to be honest, it's only your passport number they will need as the rest is known i.e where you are spending your first night, etc.
