How do my dining plans look?

So I book my ADRs in one month. I am slowly planning my trip and trying to decide on if I should add the dining plan. (I keep going back and forth). So I planned what I am going to try and book based on if I get the dining plan (better to have to cancel than fight and book more ADRs.

We will be arriving on October 9th at 11pm in Orlando and leaving October 16th at 6:50pm. Here is how it looks so far, does this look doable? A little much? Some of them are up in the air based on the times we will be able to get when our window opens.

Day 1- Arrive, No Reservations

Day 2- Tusker House Breakfast (probably around 10 or 11am), Yak and Yeti Dinner

Day 3- Be Our Guest Breakfast/Lunch (Depending on if we can get a PPO or not), Quick Service Dinner (either MK or whatever we park we hop to, might just head back to the hotel as this is a party night)

Day 4- Quick Service Lunch in Epcot (maybe use snacks at food and wine booths instead), Biergarten Dinner

Day 5- Frontera Cocina Dinner, Quick Service Lunch (HS)

Day 6- Garden Grill PPO, Fan Dining Package (If we can get one close to dinner time, if not swap with Frontera Cocina the day before)

Day 7- Be Our Guest Breakfast/Lunch (Whatever is not on Day 3), Haven't picked a TS location this day in MK, any suggestions?

Day 8- Quick Service Lunch (Probably will be in AK); Leave at 3pm

If I did my math correctly, It would mean we use all 7 TS credits and 6 of our 7 QS Credits. I figured we would use our extra one for a full meal either on Day 2 if we are hungry for lunch or whatever day we do BOG Breakfast as it will be a larger gap between meals. If we decide to use snack credits for the Food and Wine Booths instead of our QS credit on Day 4 we would have 2 extra QS credits and just fit them in when we are hungry. (I know I always want food when we get back to the hotel after a day in the parks lol)

Please let me know if this seems like a good plan, I am trying to nail down what ADRs I want to make when so I know what order I should book them in. Thank you all!

Someone with more experience will have to chime in on the rest of your plans ... but I have two thoughts-

As for day 7 TS in MK, consider Skipper Canteen for dinner.

As for the dining plan (If you haven't already!), I would take a look at menus and how your family would prefer to order (sharing entrees? appetizer sampling instead of entrees? Kids menu vs adult? wanting/not wanting dessert or alcoholic beverages) and the number of AYCTE meals. Having a TS ADR for every day of the trip doesn't necessarily mean the dining plan is right for you. And not having the dining plan does not mean you should give up TS experiences you would like to try. We have TS meals planned for every day of our upcoming trip and I am confident that paying OOP will save money over the dining plan....the fact that my kids would have to pay the adult dining plan price makes a big difference.

Your plans look great. :)

Couple of points—on Day 7, you might want to expand your TS meal choices to the MK resorts. The Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge all have fun choices for one credit meals. Ohana (my family’s favorite), Kona, 1900 Park Fare, Grand Flo Cafe, Chef Mickey, Whispering Canyon are all great choices located a short distance from MK.

You can make out like a bandit with snack credits at the Food & Wine Festival. Most of the big ticket samples can be purchased with a snack credit—filet mignon, lobster rolls, salmon, etc. These are like $8+ each so well worth using snack credits to get.

Have fun. :)

Are you staying on-property? If so, which resort? Don’t overlook the resort restaurants, especially the deluxe hotel restaurants.

The only thing I would suggest is that you try the new quick service place in Pandora at the Animal Kingdom. It is really good. Otherwise everything looks good. I hope they figure out Be Our Guest before you get there. Our last trip in January we were so disappointed with our lunch we returned the food and got a refund. They served our food cold on cardboard plates 45 minutes after we ordered. The food was so bad you couldn't eat it if you tried. And you are planning a breakfast and a lunch. We actually had a really nice breakfast of Tonga toast with ham and a flight of mimosas at Kona for the same price as breakfast at BOG.

I was thinking about Ohana. Our 2nd MK day is the only day to watch fireworks there. I might rearrange so that we can watch them another night and end our trip at Ohana, or even just book Ohana for the night that is up in the air if we park hop or not.

I love Be Our Guest. I have never been for lunch but have done Dinner and Breakfast and never had a bad experience. That is why I have it booked twice this trip. I am not a fan of the new dinner menu so that is why I sadly am not planning a dinner. It is normally how we end our trip there.

I’ve tried Satuli and unfortunately had a terrible experience I think because my food was so salty I couldn’t finish it even though I was starving.

I used to love Be Our Guest as well. This past trip the meal we didn't eat was so bad it has turned me off. Like I said, I really hope they get it straightened out before your trip. I have never really enjoyed the Breakfast there. I always thought it was way over priced. Lunch was my favorite. And I have also looked at the new dinner menu and sadly we have eaten our last dinner with the Master. Have a great trip.

Love your selections, for day 7 have you checked out Ohana's? Good food, great theming and if you schedule a late enough dinner you can watch the fireworks (with the music piped in) from there.

As others have mentioned Day 7, another vote for Skipper Canteen.
Are you sure you want 2 meals at BoG? Its your choice, but we try and not each at the same place twice in one trip.
Day 8 Satu'li for QS is amazing. Flametree would be my second choice at AK for QS.

Enjoy your trip!
