How do I tell my kids......?

I have a big surprise WDW trip planned for the end of the month. My kids know we're going somewhere, but they don't know where. I am trying to decide how and when to tell them. We are leaving early morning on Aug 27th and driving 4 hours to airport. This will also be thier first time to fly. Anyway, what do you guys think?

A lot of the surpirse depends on the ages of the kids......we did not tell my granddaughter where we were going (she thought we we going to see my nephew play football).....we left Alabama about mid afternnon and she figured it out that night when we arrived at WDW she saw a DisneyWorld Bus....it was so funny!!! I think she was 5 at the time...

I thought about just not telling them until they figured it out. But I just know my 10 yo will see the sign for Orlando at the airport and just go nuts. I am afraid then that she and my 5yo will not be able to sit still on the plane. I was thinking of doing like a 20 questions thing on the way to New Orleans, or maybe waking them up with "Wake up, We're going to Disney World". I don't know.

We are also keeping our trip a surprise to DD8 and DD3. We are leaving at night on the 29th and driving through the night. The plan is that they will think we're going for a drive (its DH birthday and he likes to go for drives) and when they wake up will be in Disney! I'm so excited to see their faces that I can hardly contain myself! It's sooo hard to keep a secret this big!!!!

Ok! im a teen and im 14! my mom was planning a surprise trip to disney! She told me but not the other kids! i helped her plan and pick restrants and all that! well this is how my mom did it but there are other ways! My mom woke my brother and sister at 4 o'clock in the morning and said "were going to Disney World"! Well at first they didnt believe Her! They didnt want to get up and were expecting to go to school! well thats how my mom told them! but u can also tell them when u get there or When ur waiting to board the plane! or since ur driving a 4 hour drive to the air port tell them while in the car! i would personlally tell them when when u get to the air port and are waiting to board the planes!
