How Do I Switch Resorts Once I Get There?

I am hoping all the veterans can help me with this decision. I am booked at ASMu from November 7-17. As the date approaches, I am thinking I would like to try to spend the second half of my trip at a Moderate or Deluxe. I realize the resorts are booked solid from November 6-10th so if I try to change my reservation now, I am terrified I will have no reservation at all.

How does it work if I check into ASMu, plan to stay there for 4-5 nights and then try to move to another resort during the less busy half of my trip? My DH thinks I'm crazy, but as an AP holder and with the great rates coming out, I would like to experience a different resort.

Any advice?

Why don't you call down to WDW CRO and ask what is available?? AP rates are great right now...take a look at mousesavers.com she's got some rates & AP codes on her site...
Maybe stay where you are till the day after Vetern's Day..11/12 and go over to a deluxe...Check out the rates..it won't cost too much to call......
Plus it's easy to switch! have bell services move ya!
