Hi Dis Board :)
Sometime next fall (oct, nov or dec) I would like to suprise my BF with a trip to disney. I have one main problem and that is I don't know if he can get the time off of work. He has to put in for it and then it needs to be aproved. So I don't know how a suprise would be possible. I was thinking maybe getting something from the disney store (stuffed animal and attaching a card that says (One Free Trip To Disney) and then way we can decided when to go. So it's still a suprise sorta. I wanted to book it asap, so it can be paid for over time. Any ideas? :confused3

While I didn't do a surprise trip to Disney for my husband, I did do a surprise trip scuba diving. I arranged it with his boss. I gave her a call and explained what I was doing and asked if he could take the time off. Once I got the okay from her, I purchased the scuba trip and bought a tropical fish book and a "learning" Spanish book and made a certificate that said something like "you have have won an all expense paid trip to Cozumel. you depart etc. etc. etc." If you know the boss, it might be worth a try.

We suprised my cousin for her 50th birthday. I started many many months ahead, kept in close contact wtih her boss and family, and actually pulled it off. She was in Kansas City scheduled to do a "fake" talk, we had arranged to get her to the airport. Went beautifully, but did in fact take lots of work. It can be done! Giving a coupon and letting him help plan would also be fun.

Good luck!!!

We are leaving Thurs. for our surprise trip! Here's what I did;
Planned almost two years!
Told DH in March that I had a trip planned (didn't say where) and told him the dates he needed to have off. He was totally okay with not knowing- me I WOULD NOT be okay with not knowing where we were going.
A week ago, we told the kids we are going to Chicago (we really are, connecting flight). They assume we're seeing my dear sister! We won't tell them until we get to the airport where we're actually going!
So, for us- everyone knows we're going on a trip, but only part of the story.
I actually did end up telling DH three weeks ago- after almost two years of keeping it in, I was going to burst if I had to wait any longer! He's very excited about the whole secret by the way!
Good Luck!
