how do I shrink a design?

I am getting ready to print my last design. I want to shrink it from the size that the designer had so that I can iron it on to a polo. How do I do this? I am very techno illiterate, so please be specific!!!

I normally copy mine then paste into MS Word. Then you can resize it to what ever you need.
