How do I see the AP room rate?

I just bought an AP for the first time. How do I see what a room rate would be with the AP discount? Is there a special website for AP holders?
 
As long as your AP is linked to your My Disney Experience account, you should be able to see the rates and availability. Ours haven't been activated yet and I can still see and book the rates for the Sept discount. Make sure you are signed in and try going into "Things to do - view special offers - Scroll down to and click on the Passholder rate - then click check availability". You can plug in your travel dates from there. There isn't always a AP room discount. They are offered here and there just like any other discounted rate, so you kind of have to keep an eye out if you are looking for a specific time of year ;).
 

Not working. When I go into MDE it shows the AP and that it is assigned to me. When I check rates, there is a thing to click on to show what you are entitled to; it does not show me as an AP holder. It says to update your profile. When I click on my profile, it doesn't show me as an AP holder. When I tried to add the AP to my profile, it says it can't because it's already in there.

Disney IT is so frustrating...

If I go under Resorts - view special offers and scroll down it says Passholders - Embark on an Enchanted Escape. If I click on it, it takes me to the AP purchase page.
 
Your AP may not be linked to your My Disney experience account. Check you r profile and scroll down to Memberships and passes...click on that to see if you AP is there..

I'm trying by phone. The numerous preliminary questions are making me crazy.

And now I have to pee. But I don't want to start over on the phone.

Note to self: always pee BEFORE calling Disney.

I've had that problem often. It's always a cookie problem. But, my AP is listed in my MDE
Did you look under your Reservations and Tickets? Do you see the AP listed there? If yes, it's a cookie problem. If no, it's something else.
 
I had no idea that was a cookie issue. Same thing happened to me. I booked under a different code ( Fla res.) and since It was okay, just went with it.
Will ck into this now...

Interesting. It didn't dawn on me that it might be a cookie problem. I made the reservation over the phone, and the reservation person gave me the number for Disney tech support. The tech support person said that I couldn't see the AP rate because I have not activated my AP yet. I'm not sure that's correct, but I didn't make a big deal out of it because I already had the reservation I needed, and I'm DVC so I'm not usually trying to book a hotel room at the AP rate.

Yeah, that is 100% incorrect. I was able to see the AP room rate without an activated AP. As are thousands (hundreds, whathaveyou) others. The AP/cookie issue is intermitent but it is exactly as you describe. And I have it now, with a fully functioning and activated AP. Clearing all Disney related cookies clears it right up.
And while that's being discussed, it's my first line of defense against all MDE issues. Something working wonky or different on the site, I go to my browser and clear Disney cookies. So far, that's fixed all issues, unless they are system wide like when they had a reservation problem last month. When it's just me having the problem, it's been cookies.
The only thing cookies can't fix is I am unable to change reservations online. When I try, it takes me right back to my Reservations page. I used to have no problems changing reservations but stopped suddenly. I tried tech support and they had no ideas. Said they'd try to duplicate the problem but unless they could it was unlikely they'd be able to figure it out either. I opted to just not bother. In the end that hurts Disney and helps me. All I'd do with the Change feature is play around with different resorts and see, wow, I can stay at X for only $100 more and I'd change my reservation. Now, I just leave it alone. They don't get the upgrade from me. So saves me money. I best leave the feature not working ;)
