I'm looking to reserve 2 standard rooms for our family(4 adults, 6 kids) at PPH for August 2-4th for 2 nights & wondering how I check availability online on the Disneyland website? Every time I out in our group it tries to sell me a suite or says not available because our group size is too big for standard rooms but we want TWO connecting rooms! Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated:) Also are these dates at the beginning of August OK???

I’d call them. Last time we booked multiple rooms, I did it over the phone.
That's kind of what I figured! Do my dates seem OK? I know it's summer but figured some AP's will be blocked out & it will be long hours...I have never been to DL in the summer ever!

Well, I personally like to hit Saturdays in the summer since the most APs are blocked out, and I find Mondays and Tuesdays to often be a little more crowded than other days... but I don’t see any reason that your dates would be a poor choice! I don’t think you’d see a DRAMATIC difference with the surrounding days, based on my own experiences.

That’s based on what we know now; if Disney ends up adding some special event or whatnot... well that’s a different ballgame.

I just looked at photos, and I was at Disneyland on August 1, 7, and 9 last year - none of them stand out as particularly crowded or empty based on photos, just routine summer days.

That's super helpful info thanks a bunch!

I book 2 separate rooms, putting 2 adults, 3 kids in each room.
That's my plan exactly! :) Was just hoping to check availability & pricing online without calling. What do you think of my dates(August 2nd-4th)@Malcon10t since you go to the parks often? I've never been in the summer...

I just looked online for a standard for 8/2-8/4 and it's $542 a night. You could just book two standards online and then put in a request for connecting rooms.

I think they will be great. It might be hot, but you can carry ice water all day and do your best to stay in the shade or indoor areas. I've done it several times. All the rides should be open and the hours will be nice and long.

Thank you! We have never been in the summer before but my oldest of six kids is in high school now(15!!!) & summer is the only time can all go together as a family. :)
