People have been talking about getting pin codes for discounts on DL packages/tickets, etc... Is this from signing up for an email? How do I get on this list so I can get pin codes in case we want to purchase a vacation package or tickets? Does anyone know? Thanks!

It's kind of random but here's what you can do to help the odds.

Register on www.disneyland.com
Save some offers on disneyland.com
Order the planning DVD for disneyland.

FWIW PIN codes are often sent out and then followed by the same offer for the general public. Also while some people look at specific dates, they later receive a PIN for different dates, only somtimes being lucky enough to use them when they wanted to.

You are randomly emailed pin codes for cruises and Disneyland/Disneyworld if you have been a prior guest. Sometime you get them sometimes you don't. I have noticed I receive quite a few offers and I am not sure why this is, I sometimes wonder if having a Disney Visa influences this but I am not sure. Hope you get one soon.

That is so strange! I've booked Disneyworld trips through the Disney site. Just got back this summer from a Disney cruise. Have another Disney cruise scheduled and am registered on Disneyland.com, but have never received an email at all about codes. Hmmm.... I'll have to keep hoping I guess. Will try to view some resort options and save them and see if that might help! Thanks! :)

Oh, AND we have a Disney visa! So strange!

Did you set your preference to recieve email?

I haven't gotten a lot, but 2/3 of the time they are by postal mail.

We have booked visits though WTW as well but for me, I have received PIN codes when I go into Disneyland.com, sign into my account so they know who I am. Then I search vacation packages and save my searches then exit out. Sometimes I will receive a PIN code and many times I do not. You might have a better chance of receiving one if you are not trying to book a package that is many months away but more like 2 months away. I have never received a PIN code for visits that are months away. Also, don't forget to order the Disney Planning DVD even if you already did sometime in the past. Sometimes that will trigger it. The best code I ever received was 35% off the rack rate at the GCH.

Thanks for mentioning the preference settings. I guess they are all automatically set to nothing. I just went into the disneyland.com settings for my account and set up everything I could.

Even though my email and home address were already in there, the communication preferences were not set up. Hopefully that will help! Thanks so much! :)

Now I am the opposite. In fact, I have never received any by postal mail but only through my email.

Try setting up a new account using a different email address and maybe under your spouse.
