How do I post photos?

Hi!
I have some digital photos that I would like to post of the pin meet in Chicago last Sat. They are 72dpi jpegs about 300k each on average.

Hi, Gene

Posting photos is easy. When you post a new thread or a reply, you should see different fields, such as "Logged in user" or "Post subject." The 4th down reads "vB Code". This will automatically put in tags to format text to do different things.

There's a button that says IMG. Click on that and enter the URL for your pictures in the box that pops up. Be careful because it does give you the http://, and if you copy and paste something in there, make sure you don't duplicate that part.

Does this mean the photos have to be on a website first?
Right now the photos are on my desk top in a file.
I have no idea what to do next.

Yeah, they have to be on a website. If you're on AOL, you have 2 MB of ftp space per screen name to upload files. If not, you can upload the pictures to the DIS Photo Gallery.

I went to the DIS Photo Gallery, liked what I saw but can't find any directions.
What am I missing? Thanks for you patience.

Gene, after you register and log in to the Photo Gallery site, on the right hand side you should see "Upload Photos". After that it's pretty self-explanatory.
