How do I move a cruise date?

So Im this close to saying yes to DU to book a cruise. My hesitation is if DH gets extended on he deploy what is the absolute latest that we can pull out of our cruise and book for a later date???

WIth having trip insurance and him having to extend and miss our cruise if we couldnt pull out of it would there be a way we would be covered and get our money back?

THIS is the only thing holding us back!

I believe if you cancel before the 60 day mark you get 100% back.
If it is 60 days or less each week you will get back less and less money and right up to the cruise you will get nothing.

If you read the fine print on the trip insurance it really only helps under certain circumstances, mostly with airlines more than the cruise line. So dont count on it for much help.

Once we had to cancel our daughters reservation because they had something come up and I believe we were 45 days out. We lost $1,000 on their room.

If you booked directly through Disney and were really nice they may let you change it to another date with little or no penalty if it were due to military messing with his schedule. it couldnt hurt to ask??

Hopefully someone will have a more precise answer for you. I know in the docs they send you it has the break down for days and $$ amounts but I don't have docs handy. Maybe on DCL's web site it may help you. I would look under the FAQ section.

Cancelling and Re-booking result in different penalties. The previous poster is correct about the cancellation fees, but the re-booking fees are far less. We had to re-schedule our cruise at the last minute. It was less than a week away. We had to pay about $250 for rebook.
