How do I make reservations for chef mickeys?

I was told to call 407-560-2428. I would like to book for breakfast because it is cheaper and my kids eat just about any kind of breakfast food there is and DH and I both love breakfast too. If we do Chef Mickey's for dinner, I don't think we will get our money's worth at all. We are not doing a dinner plan and the plan is to only do chef Mickey's once and no other character meals. I have not made any reservations for when we will even be at WDW yet. DH just told me this weekend what days he will be home to go. So I know it will be some time after June 9th.

Once I make the reservations to be at the resort, should I just call that number and ask them if they have any chef mickey's breakfast times available for any of the days we will be thee? Or do I need to pick which day we want to do it before I call? I know they start taking reservations 180 days ahead but like I said, I didn't know till this weekend when we were going for sure. Is there one day better than the other for going to chef Mickey's? What time does the breakfast start? Is there any tips you can tell me about going to chef Mickey's for breakfast? Also, how do we get there from Pop Century? If you couldn't tell, this is my first trip to WDW in 20 years. My kids will be 4 and 8. Thanks!

I usually call 1-407-wdw-dine. It'll take you through a series of prompts before you talk to a CM. I usually have our dates and times already selected, but if a restaurant is booked for your desired time and date, they can check what's available for the length of your vacation. Generally, I believe the resort TS with breakfast start at 7am. Just tell the CM you are interested in Chef Mickey's for breakfast and give the desired time and date. If nothing's available for that, they'll check for any other availability. Since CM is EXTREMELY popular and one of the hardest character meals to get, if nothing's available, call back, cancellations do happen. Good luck!

Just an FYI, if you are going in June that is a very busy time. That's 90 or so days from now. We booked our trip for the end of April in January and we the only ADR's we could get for Chef Mickey's for breakfast were at 11 am. That's almost lunch time for our kiddo. So we're going for dinner instead. You have a party of 4 and if you might have a difficult time getting reasonable reservations for Chef Mickey's at breakfast.

A few other options for breakfast might be O'Hana which I've heard has a fabulous breakfast (we're trying it for the first time this trip). I also heard people like Donald's Safari Breakfast over at AK.

You can check out www.allears.net and they give you a list of all the restaurants with menus and characters at each character meal.

And you call 407-WDW-DINE to make dining reservations.

I was in Disney in November and I made my ADR's about 120 days prior to arrival..I did not get Chef Mickey's..I even called to see if there was any cancellations when I was at The Poly but nothing came available. Call now and every few days until arrival if you really want to try Chef Mickey's. It is really popular! I am taking the kids back in August and I called 180 days prior at 7:01 and I got my ADR for Chef Mickey's but when I called back two days later to change it to a later time it was NOT AVAILABLE! 175 days prior! So I kept what I had....Have a great trip!

If we don't get that, I won't be too upset. I knew when I read that they start taking reservations 180 in advance, that we might not get it since DH wasn't able to tell me when he could get home for vacation until recently. That's the military for ya! Donalds safari breakfast sounds like something my 4yo would love. He is SOOO into zoo animals and diego stuff it's crazy. Just about all he plays with is his zoo animals and his stick horses. Thanks for the info!
