How do I go about this?

DH and I currently have an ADR on our last night at Citricos (10/18) at 8pm. When I first booked this many moons ago I was so upset that California Grill was closed because I wanted so badly to eat there during Wishes. So after moping around and looking at all of our other choices for our last night meal which is meant to be a late celebration of our one year wedding anniversary, I ended up choosing Citricos. That being said, I had finally come to terms with it and started getting kind of excited for Citricos when I found out that CG will actually re-open prior to our trip. Now, of course I am going to try for a CG ADR on Monday when it opens; however, I am an RN who gets up at 3:30am (CT) and is at work by 5am (CT) and I don't generally leave work until 7pm which puts me home around 7:45-8.. If ADR times open at 6 or 7am Florida time, that means I won't be able to even try until I get home in the evening. I am fine with that; however, I don't want to cancel my Citricos ressie then not be able to get the CG time that I want (8-8:30pm) and be out of a ressie all together. See my dilemma? How should I do this or is there some way that I can leave my current ressie intact and it prompt me to cancel it when I choose a different one? This is my first time planning a trip on my own so I don't know exactly how to go about doing this? Any advice is appreciated!

If the system is working correctly you will be asked if you want to cancel a previous reservation that is within 2 hours +/- of the new one you're making. When you cancel the old res, you'll be able to make the new one. There have been glitches in the system and people have reported that the query never came up so they had to cancel the old reservation later on.
