I always see ppl in a parade that look like normal ppl with falgs for just walking in the parade. How do they get in and can i be in one to?

I don't think they have people in the parade right now. I was just there in August and don't remember seeing any. At the Block Party Bash, you can get up and dance with the characters when they stop.

In the parade they used to have guest performers that they would select prior to the parade. They placed several people in various points in the parade and had them dance with the characters.

The parades right now do not usually include guests. I have heard of instances where VIPs were allowed to be grand marshal and would be escorted down the parade route prior to the parade. But as far as I know, this is not a regular occurance.

Before the 3:15 parade there are "Honorary Grand Marshall's" We were very close to getting it on Sunday. My husband hesitated asking the lady and she turned and asked the family right behind him. We thought she might be the one to ask but we were not sure. I was very disappointed. It is completly random everyday. Look for a person, dressed in buisness attire, with a DL name tag on and chances are that is the person. You can only have 6 people go. You ride down main street about 5 minutes before the actual parade with the "Mayor." Mary Poppins and Bert and all of the Pooh Characters were walking along side the car that the families were riding in this past weekend.

Good Luck to anyone who tries! It looks like a lot of fun!!!

I haven't been in a few years, but in the spring of 2003, I read here on the boards that cast members wearing blue overalls with white clouds would be walking around about an hour before the parade looking for guests to be in the parade. We walked right up to one and asked if we could be in it! They put all 4 of us on a bus that went to a few other locations in the park, each stop adding more guests. On the bus, we had to fill out a form and they gave us name tags. We went backstage somewhere near the start of the parade and they gave us all capes as costumes. Some castmembers came out and lined us up and taught us this little dance. Little did I know when they were lining us up it was because we were going to be paired with a character! Seeing my 7 year old daughter dance the entire length of the Disney parade with Pooh was one of the most magical, memorable experiences of my life! The look on her face was priceless! The people on the sidelines were amazing - cheering us on. At the end of the parade we took pictures with all the characters and we were each given a souvenier pin that says something like "special cast member" and the date.
