I am curious,

We've never stayed onsite before. I am interested in becoming a yearly onsite visitor.

Does anyone have suggestions on how we can get our info into the system so maybe we can get these wonderful postcards?

Thanks for the help!

Don't think anyone knows for sure how to get into the system for codes.

There really isn't a guaranteed way for you to get a pin code...they seem to be sent out very randomly. People here have all kinds of theories and "answers" from what CMs have said, but in all honesty, none of us are 100% sure how it's determined to send them out. Your best bet is to make sure you're registered with disney.com so that they have your information (address, email, etc) and hope you one day receive a pin code.

And possibly ordering the Disney planning video from waltdisneyworld.com could help.

But thats a guess from me......I've never, ever received a postcard or email offer, and we order the videos every year, have stayed onsite (3) times, and are registered on the website. So..... :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I just have to remain optimistic that one of these days some :tink: will be sprinkled upon us :goodvibes

Don't feel bad TooBoyz4us, I have been registered with Disney.com for years, have ordered the last 4 or 5 planning videos, have visited yearly since 2004 and still have never received a pin code.

I read about people getting 3 or 4 offers every year. I just don't understand it.... I guess all we can do is hope. After all "all it takes is faith and trust."

We've been going to WDW yearly for 4 years. The first year was offsite, so we purchased tickets only through Disney (last 3 years onsite). The only time we've received an offer via postcard or email was a few months after that first visit. So, based on my experience, I'm not sure staying onsite enhances your chances at all.

Assuming you've purchased your park tickets directly from Disney and not a
3rd party you're in their system - that's probably all you can do. The only other thing that probably wouldn't hurt would be to register on their website just to ensure they have your current email address.

If it helps, I haven't been to Disney since 1981 and we certainly didn't stay onsite then. I have however ordered the planning videos a few times in the past 6 years and I did receive the 40% discount card last week. Which I STUPIDLY tossed in the recycling bin never dreaming that my husband would tell me a few days later to go ahead and start pricing a WDW holiday for the fall. Doh. (In my defense I've been trying to get him interested in Disney for 20+ years to no avail... figures, huh?)

Just to let you know- you can still use the code even though you threw out the post card. Disney has the info on file as to who got the offer. Just call Disney res.(1-407-934-7639) and let them know, and they can look it up for you.

Even if you are registered at disney.com periodically go in and update your profile for some reason Disney's system messes up frequesntly (go figure) and loses or changes your email address or preferences and all the sudden your profile will say you do not want to get any emails - also be sure that any email address with Disney anywhere in it is in your approved email list and does not go to a junk folder.

Thanks for that :) I'll let our TA know that when we go see her. Now I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the dates associated with the discount card. Has that been posted anywhere? I tried a search but I'm not finding a complete listing of the dates.

is it just me or are the codes gone out of that blog? :confused3

Could be, but you don't need the codes if you have the pin. In fact, it is now impossible to use the code without the pin. WDW is on to thier "error" and will under no circumstances let anyone use the codes without the pin, and the pin has to be used for the specific code (the 40% code only works with the pin, and the Peak season only code can only be used with the peak season only pin). The last few days of Jan. they were looser on it, but now they are iron clad about it.

Thanks :) I am going to have to call them and see if anything is attached to my name :)
