How do I get from Poly to Dolphin after FWorks?

Planning to catch 7/4 fireworks at 9 from the Poly and then head back to the Dolphin to try to see the Epcot from the club lounge. Assuming that Illum. will be at 10:00, is it possible to do this? We won't be using park admission so I can't take the monorail to Epcot and cut thru the park.

Any other ideas?

Well... the only suggestion I have is to take the Monorail to the MK, and then catch the Swan & Dolphin bus. I can tell you, on 4th of July... IT WILL BE BUSY.

Although... Last year... we handled 4th of July without a hitch... amazingly there were *NO* complaints whatsoever about waits for the buses, or lines, or whatnot. Everything went well. We also had about 50 charter buses in addition to about 75 of our own buses to deal with the crowds.

Although I never recommend taking a cab, simply because I don't trust the safety of thier driving (having been cut off or nearly run over before), that might be the best option.

It might be easier to taxi back to the Dolphin. I wouldn't want my kiddos to be terrified by the throngs of people on our first night in WDW.

Keep in mind that after last year, there is a possibility that the Polynesian will restrict fireworks viewing on it's beaches to guests of the Polynesian. There were SOOO many people on the Polynesian property that paying guests were not able to enjoy the fireworks, and there were a LOT of complaints.

You might need to make alternate plans for that evening.

so we were planning to just linger for half an hour or so and watch the fireworks after dinner then run back to the Dolphin. Are the going to prohibit us from watching if we are dining at OHanas?

I don't know. All I know is that last year the place was OVER RUN with people who were not registered guests to the point that many registered guests could not view the fireworks. Several people complained about it here, and I want to think that they said that the Poly guest services indicated that they would not allow that situation to happen again.

Just be prepared to be turned away, even if you dine there.
