How do I get codes and pins?

There is so much talk all over the boards about codes and pins that I had to figure out how to get in on the action.

Is there a place where I can sign up to receive discount pins?

I have signed up for every disney mailing list on every disney related site, completed surveys, saved itineraries, referred family, requested planning DVDs, clicked on links, entered contests, order from the disney site, etc, etc, etc - and in two years, I have never once received a PIN. Every CM I have spoken to has told me that you only need to be on their email and mailing system - after that, it's wholly up to marketing and who they are targeting based on a complex system (luck). In other words - no love for my neck of the chicago suburbs. It just means that we won't go as often or spend as much when we do.

Two days ago I went into my account and changed my info (we recently moved so I updated my address AND I changed my email to a different emeail address), ordered a planning DVD and then went to reservations and saved an itineray for a SSR villa in December. Today I got an email code for 20% off values, 30 off mods and 40% off deluxe. Must have done something to trigger it! Good luck!

what does it mean to "save a few trips"??? just curious...


as for the pin code - i received an email code for free dining after i took a trip and completed a survey. i guess pins are random...

ebird08, to the DIS boards I see you are from Hampton Beach, NH I have many great memories of that beach I bet you are anxiously waiting for summer to come If you go on the Disney website, log in under your account and price out a trip, there should be a box to click that says "Save this vacation" This is what people mean about saving a trip We are also going in April, from the 23rd to May 2nd What are you dates? Maybe we might be there for some of the same time
