i have been trying to rearrange some of the ADRs i made over the phone months ago when we booked our trip. well while searching i was able to find some ADRs on the website that previously hadn't shown up. i was excited until i got the email and realized that instead of changing the time of one of the reservations while searching i had changed the number of people in the party. can i call in and correct that number or do i have to cancel? this is my first trip and the whole system is so confusing. i booked everything for two people and somehow booked the one meal as three and i dont know what im supposed to do. i went back online and cant find that meal for two people, or any other meal in that park for two at that time. will they let me keep it?

You can call (407) WDW-DINE and speak to a Cast Member. They should be able to change the party size. If they cannot, my advice would be to just leave it as it is and explain the situation at the restaurant podium when you check in.

Even a WDW cast member would have to cancel the reservation and rebook it to change the party size.

I would suggest keeping the reservation for 3 and when you arrive, say you only have 2, unless it's for something that requires prepayment or a credit card hold.

It would be nice if you kept trying occasionally to get a ressie for 2 and if you were able to snag it, then cancel the one for 3 so that it would probably free up a table for 4 people that someone else may want to book. But that's just what I would do since ressie's do open up as people cancel and rearrange.
