my son is moved far away and we need to empty a water bed that is down stairs we can reach a sump pump but where do i began?? :umbrella:

We got a with ours but I bet you can find one at Wal-mart or some place like that. It hooks up to the faucet and you start putting water in for a minute or so then pull a valve and it starts sucking the water out. It took a long time when we did ours.

the faucet like a kiten sink? its far from any water source? please explain i am confused ..

There is a attachement to the faucet, which is screwed on (at least they used to be, and is attached to a hose, which is attached to the bed. When the faucet is turned on, the suction from the faucet water pulls the waterbed water out, similar to siphoning it .

You'll need one of these:

and one of these:

and a garden hose to connect them. Kits with these items, and often a hose to go between them, are available at most places where they sell waterbeds.

Almost all waterbed stores will have a valvle for a few bucks that hooks up to your outside faucet; then you pump water INTO the bed for about 15 or 30 seconds, switch the valve outside, and it will start 'pulling' the water out using the flow of the outside water to create a syphon.

Call any water bed store; they'll help you out.

not understandinf daaaaaaaaaaa.
if i hook a hose to my faucet the water goes into my well?? can i hook a hose to the opening on the bed and let i run out?down a drain?

No, BUT you might be able to get enough of a siphon going wiht just a shorter hose to the sump pump....just suck hard enough LOL like siphoning gas, blow in the hose, then move your mouth outta the way.

just an FYI, draining a bed, takes HOURS. our cali king took forever to drain...unbelievable.

Ours did go "uphill" to the window- then downhill to the outside faucet. Does your basement have a window- that can go to the outside faucet? Then the water will just run out into your yard
