I am taking my disabled 7 year old and my nephew (11) to WDW on my own in October. We will be staying off-site :o( as we are going with a WISH Foundation. They will be putting us up @ Days Suites in Kissimee.
I know that DN will want to do some big rides that DD will not be able to go on. I am not sure if he will go on with people he doesn't know as he is only 11. I feel badly too as this is his first and possibly only trip to WDW as a child and I want him to experience it as much as possible.
Any suggestions??

Well, here are a couple ideas that might would work. I too have an 11 year old and while many 11 year olds would be ok with going through the lines alone, mine would not, so yes I understand. Perhaps you could watch for a family with boys around his age and politly ask if he could join them in line while you wait at the exit. It might even be possible if it is not very crowded that a CM could ride with him. Another thought is that sometimes make a wish children are given front of the line passes for their families. I am not sure how you would feel about this, or even sure how i feel about it but if you all could go to the front of the line together and then only your DN go on the ride while your daughter and you wait for him. He would still have to ride alone but not stand in the line alone. The point of the front of the line pass for MAS kids is to prevent them from doing the waiting that they have to do so often in life. This still is keeping her from waiting.

It might just come down to his deciding if he want so to go on the rides bad enough to go alone. If he wants to do that, use fast pass to cut line time and be sure you know where he gets off so you can meet him. If your daughter is up for it you can often go though the line or pre show and take the chicken exit. There should be many things that are fine for you all to ride. Enjoy this specail trip.
