I have a Kodak Touchscreen V1263 camera. I accidentally protected some of the pictures. How do I remove the protection?

I've searched on-line & can't find an answer, so thought I'd try here.

TIA!

I would that that to un-protect a file you would do the same thing that protected it. So if pressing button A protects it, then pressing button A again will un-protect it. Thats been my experience. To be sure though, check your manual to find out how to protect an image file. It should also say how to unprotect it.

I tried to do the same thing in reverse & it didn't work. I checked the manual on-line & it didn't give any instructions. I'll have to dig out my box to see if there is anything.

On my Canon S2 IS you have to un-protect each one individually in camera. I learned this when I protected all my Disneyland shots in 2007. The camera wants to make sure you mean it, lol! Try pulling a protected photo up on your viewing screen, select the icon that means protected (mine was a little lock I think) then press the up or down arrow to see if the little icon disappears. I know they are different cameras but I bet you have to do something similar.

Mark-If I recall formatting doesn't work. The camera goes all out to "protect" those pics. Unless maybe the OP tries to format with their program?

I went on Kodaks website and I did not see a V1263 camera, I did see a V1273 and in the manual it stated this:
formatting will erase all images, even prtected ones.
to protect a image:
1- press review button
2- tap previous/next
3- press the menu button
4- tap protect
it sounds like if you do this again it should unptrotect the image
