How do I burn a picture CD on my Dell? What's Roxio?

Do I need to download this software to my computer? I have the
CD's ready and no idea what to do!!

Roxio is a software company that makes CD burning software. If you have a new Dell and the software was part of your package, it is installed already. You should just be able to go to the Start button in the lower left cforner and find the program. Click on it and just follow the steps. It should walk you right through it. Or, if you have software from your camera, you could just use that, and should walk you through it also.

Dan is right. It should already be loaded in your new Dell. I have a Dell and it came with mine. I think I usually click on data cd to save my pictures to disc.

My husband has a Dell laptop and his came with Roxio, which was already installed on it when he got it! He says it works really well for him!

airhead, there is assuredly an upgrade available, but am confident that you can do a photo cd. All you are doing is copying files (photo files in this case) to a backup CD. In essence, that is all it is. Try it again and ignore the upgrade offers.

airhead, I had the same question about my Roxio when I first got it, and then someone told me to go to the Roxio Project Selector, click on make a data CD, and then click on dataCD project. From there, you burn the photo cd just like a music cd. Just find where the pictures are in your hard drive, add them to the project and then record. You should be able to burn photo cd's this way, without having to pay for the upgrade. Hope this works for you!
