How do I book with DME??

We are booked for a vacation in October. We were going to drive until Hubby just recently got a flight voucher!! So, if I book flights on my own...thru Southwest on the way down (who the voucher is thru) and then Delta on the way back (voucher won't cover the total cost of flights...and found cheaper return flights thru Delta) how do I use the services of DME?? Do I need to contact them and let them know that I am staying at Pop, and then give them my flight info once it is booked?? Sorry, Im a newbie!!! I looked at the other thread and didn't see this question on there! T

You can call back CRO and have them add it to your reservation. You need the flight number and airline info sometime before you check-in.

Having the flight info will NOT effect the receipt of your yellow tags, as they know you are checking in at POP on that day.

Having the flight info for your departure flight WILL effect your reservation, because they need it to get you on the right ME bus for the return to MCO. It leaves approximately three hours before your flight.

Ok...Im confused... what is CRO and MCO? I do not have flights booked yet. Is this a question that will get covered when I book? I was going to do it online - do they ask if I will be needing Magical Express?

Call whomever you booked your Pop stay with. They can take your flight info and book DME for you. Even if you use two different airlines, you can still use DME. Don't worry about not having your flight actually booked though. You can still call and have DME added even if you have no idea as to flight details.
The only time flight info is important is your departure trip. DME needs to know your flight details for your departing flights so they can give you a correct departure time from your resort.
You can give that to the CMs at either MCO at the DME counter or at POP when you checkin.

MCO...Orlando International (aka McCoy air base back in the day)
CRO...central reservations office

Sorry, sometimes we forget that not everyone here knows what we're talking about. How did you book your stay at Pop?? Did you book it online?? If so, there should still be a phone number there to call. Call and have DME added.
I know that there have been reports of being able to add DME online. But the only sure-fire way to add it online is if staying DVC. And that doesn't apply to you. There is way too much room for error when trying to do it online....some have tried it and run into trouble. Just call whomever you booked your room with and they can add DME for you.

We book ME when you place your reservation, or anytime after.

If you book your resort over the phone, simply tell the CM working (that is what CRO is, the call center) and they will add it.
If you don't have the flight info yet, doesn't matter. You call later with that info.

If you are doing it online there is a place to add it at the end. If you don't see it, then complete the reservation online and call to add it later.
