How do I book the shore excursions ahead of time?

I know this has probably been answered before...How do I book the shore excursions before I am actually on the ship? There are a few I would like to do and don't want to run the risk of them being sold out. Thanks!

I called the Special Services Desk at 1-877-566-0968. This way you know immediatly if the excursion is available and the times. It took just a few minutes to get all of ours for our 3-22-03 cruise.

I went to the DCL website and emailed them. There is also a form you can fill out and mail or a number to call. When I emailed them I listed the place, excursion, and who was going. They sent me an email that said it was confirmation of my excursions.

How far in advance are we able to book shore excursions? Are there any, in particular, that fill up very quickly that we would most definitely need to book in advance? Western itinerary in particular. Thanks!

You can begin booking excursions 60 days from your depature date. Some do book up quickly (especially, I've heard, the scuba ones). We did the 7-day Eastern cruise in July and although several excursions were fully booked about 35 days before our sailing, the CM I talked with encouraged me to keep calling back to see if there had been any cancellations. I did, and was able to reserve everything we wanted to do.
