I FP The Muppet Show. What is the benefit? We don't have to stand with the crowd? Better seats?

It's a show, there are start times, so I really don't get it?

Thanks.

I can't speak for the HS shows, but I've heard that with the Lion king show at AK, those with Fastpasses are let into the theater before those in the standby line. So, the possibility of better seats, not having to line up as early? Hopefully someone can chime in about the HS shows specifically!

Honestly, it's a filler FP for the lack of attractions at HS. :rolleyes1

You most likely won't need it, in my case the longest line I've ever encountered for Muppets was 10 minutes.

Are there any other FP's available for different attractions you're interested in?

We are a ride loving family so our go to's at HS are: TSMM, ToT, Star Tours

I second the pp that you will not need the Muppets fastpass. We were there in July and walked right in. The wait was never listed as more than 10 minutes. For a show like the Frozen Sing-Along, those with fastpasses are let into the theater first. So, you are guaranteed a seat and get to select your seat first.

We used one for Indiana Jones once and it didn't seem to make much difference, think it just ensures you'll see the show even if you get there soon before

Fantasmic fp still had us in a long line so it didn't really seem to help too much

Muppets- don't have to wait in standby line. Still have to wait in big room with everyone before show and enter at the same time

Lights motors action- don't have to wait in standby, can line up in fast pass line with minimal wait, enter arena before standby so first choice of seats

Little mermaid- by pass standby, still have to wait in room before show with everyone and enter the same time

Indiana Jones- pointless really. Normally enter same time as standby, shorter walk to the arena through FP line vs standby. So you might enter 10 seconds sooner than standby.

Fantasmic- by pass standby, enter slightly earlier than standby, have a reserved FP seating area (although right now with testing one band scanning for entire group there is no FP area in the arena)

The only shows we did FP+ for were Lion King and Nemo at AK. They were both VERY different.

At Nemo, we strolled right into a sparsely occupied theater with a CM showing us our FP section. It was middle and back: good seats but not terrific seats. We leisurely sat, admired the atmosphere and waited about 20 min for the show to start. When exiting AFTER the show, we saw the wait for the next showing. A hundred people were lined outside standing in the heat waiting to get in for the next showtime. I told our party, "wow these fastpasses were a terrific idea".

At Festival of the Lion King, we showed up and stood in a line.. outside... and not a moving line at that. When we got in (maybe 30 min later), we were shown to our designated FP seats which was 1 of the 4 gym style bleachers. The seats were good, but not great. As we sat, we saw the gates open and the rest start to enter. It didn't look like they were coming from a long waiting cue, but rather right off the street and into the theater. I would not be surprised if someone who showed up 40 min after me got just as good a seat as mine. I told our party, "wow these fastpasses were kind of a waste".

ok then. I guess I FP Frozen instead. The guys can either suck it up or go find something else to do.

Good to know! I had read a different account, but I have no idea how old it was :) We can't get FP's for Lion King because we're saving them for HS that evening. It sounds like it's not worth it anyway.

In addition to not lining up early., we got the front row for Frozen sing-a-long since the FP entered first into a designated seating area.
Same thing for Nemo show at AK-- we sat in a front section in the "bubble zone" due to a FP.

Lion king FP is nice. It allows you to not wait as long in line as stand by does, and it's enclosed while some of standby is in the sun. You get in a couple minutes before standby

Perhaps they have more benefit in the busy season, so you can walk into the show last minute. I haven't had any trouble getting into any shows during the moderate or slow seasons. The theaters are all pretty big, accommodate everyone standing by, and don't really have a bad seat in the house. Like others have said, the only reason I'd pick a show as my FP+ is that there aren't really any other good passes to choose.

1. True.

2. Can be. Not necessarily.

3. You need to be in line EARLIER.
(Why? You can't be let into the theater with a FP earlier than those standing in the regular line, if you are not in the FP line earlier.) ;)

You have a shorter wait in line because if the standby line is long, you might have to wait for the next show once the theater gets full. FP line generally gets let in first.

Some shows FOTL in AK, there is a separate section of seats for those holding FP+ (the section to the right of the entrance, if I saw it correctly), and I believe they let you in the theater first.
