How do DVC/AP Renewals work?

Hi,

Last year we bought into DVC - we upgraded our Tix to Ap with the DVC discount. Our passes expire this week. When I renew with the Discount - do they send me passes or just paperwork? Will we then have to take paperwork to one of the ticket places to be activated?

Thanks in advance for your info.

Mary

For a renewal by mail, they never send out an actual pass, whether it is with a DVC discount or not. You will receive a voucher that you have to take to a guest services window to redeem for the pass.

Remember that renewals are back-dated to the expiration of your original pass...so if it will be a few months before you visit WDW, you may be better off buying a brand new pass.

If you would prefer to renew in person, you have a one-month grace period after the expiration of your original pass...you may do that at any guest services window at a park or downtown Disney.

Oh, this was just up my alley! I was wondering the same thing. We are not going until May and our passes are up in December. I am just going to wait. No since in wasting half the year to save a few bucks!

What is the savings on an Adult DVC AP "Renewal"?

As opposed to a new DVC AP? About $15.

BTW you also have that same 30 day grace period to renew over the phone.

Thanks,

Our passes expire on 10/27 and our next trip is 12/2!

Always nice to get the answers I need from all of the very nice and knowledgable Dis People!

Yea I have the same issue, we expire in April and have a week set for June-but then nothing for over a year after that. Do we spend around $250 for a 7 day hopper, or $300 for an AP "IN CASE" we end up going again? :scratchin

I just recieved renewal letter. The renewal price is $323.76 for ages 10 and up and this includes tax.

Our ap's exp 1/3 and we arr 1/4. If we wait to renew until we get there, how do we get the dvc discount?
Thanks,

Just go to any guest services or ticket window with your old AP, DVC card and photo id. :sunny:
