How do DDP credits work with Grand Villa?

We'll have three seperate families staying in a Grand Villa. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way that the DDP credits can be divided per family on our cards and not per "room". Or since the GV is considered a 3 room is that how it automatically works? It sure would be a hassle to try to figure out credits between ten people! Also the cards allow you to charge purchases--can that be per family? I sure hope so! I appreciate any information on this subject!

Credits are per reservation, not per room. You will pay for the DDP for everyone listed on the reservation. 12 people total, you will pay times 12 per day for the length of your reservation. If your staying 5 days, you get 60 TS, 60 QS, and 60 S total. If you get one hungry family, they could eat all 60 TS meals in one day and everyone else would get none. Everyone on the reservation will get a room key. You can choose who has room charging privileges. Good luck.

Yes, it is per reservation, and that is why we don't do DDP when we have large groups. Even with a group of 5 in 2 family groups it was confusing enough. Your best bet if you MUST do the dining plan, is to tell each family unit how many of each type credit they have and at the end of the day have each family get together and do a general accounting so you know for sure how it's working. We had everyone keep their receipts showing the DDP credits used.

Just to clarify on this point, you can only attach ONE credit card to the room. If you don't want everyone in the room charging their purchases to the same credit card, you can decline to extend charging priviledges to certain individuals. But you CANNOT attach 3 credit cards to a single room reservation for charging purposes.

You can get 3 one bedrooms for the same points as 1 Grand. Then all your billing would stay separate. What if one family backs out? The problem is that with only three months until your trip, your chances of 3 one bedrooms are slim. :sad2: You could also try BCV. Between the two resorts you might find rooms.
