How Difficult to get Christmas Parade and Wishes FPs?

If I convince myself that spending over $300 for Christmas party tickets isn't worth it, how difficult is it to get FP's for the Christmas Parade and Wishes? Our dates fall the week before and of Christmas and from what I've read the holiday parade and fireworks will be available?

I'm ok "burning" 2 FP's since we don't like to wait an hour+ for parade/fireworks and it would be a half rest day for us anyway.

Wishes FP is ending the middle of April, 2016.
We don't know what the future holds for those "FP Viewing Areas."
Stay tuned.

There will likely be two Christmas parades on most afternoons, so if they offer FP for both, it will be a bit easier. You will still need to book as early as you can.

Is finding a fireworks spot at the Christmas party easier than any other night?

There are far fewer people at a party than there are during a regular evening, so there is more space in general. I went to many parties between Halloween and Christmas and always found a great spot for groups ranging in size from 1-10 every night without a problem
