How difficult to change a membership number....part inquiry part vent

Even though we provided our membership number in our closing documents on our most recent purchase, same owners etc disney has provided us with a second membership number . I tried to call this morning to correct it but they are closed.. Monday will be the day to try and have this corrected. Is this gonna be difficult to change? Has it happened to anyone else?

We had a direct purchase get assigned a new member number by mistake. It was fixed is a few days.

Try the online chat option if you want to try before Monday. I was able to get on this morning. I always find them very helpful and it's great to have a copy of everything for record.

I'll be interested to hear what happens. Years ago this happened a couple of times that were mentioned on the board and they refused to change it. This is one thing they could do to affect resale vs retail, NOT combine them at all. As noted, it needs to be the same UY and the names have to match up 100% exact including the order of the names in some cases. Let us know what happens.

It also happened to us, but I found out about it while talking to MS on the phone. They fixed it, but it wasn't finalized yet. Hope they fix it for you. It is nice having all contracts under the same membership number.

Update:

They corrected it no problem. Just called and asked they said they weren't sure why there weren't automatically put under the same number and fixed it. That was easy
