How difficult to catch a cab post-race (W&D1/2)?

I've run Disney more than a handful of times, but this November will be the first time that I've stayed at a non-host hotel (I couldn't pass up the chance to stay at AoA). Does anyone have any experience catching a cab post-nighttime race? I'm almost wondering if it would be easier to take the event bus back to either AllStar/Caribbean Beach, and then take a cab from that resort back to AoA. Thoughts? Suggestions? TIA!

I would plan on hailing a cab from a resort over Epcot that time of day. You may want to consider walking out of IGate and hailing one from Boardwalk or Beach Club.

Thanks, Coach! I totally forgot about walking out IG (especially since we'll be back in World Showcase for the after party anyways) and catching a cab from Beach Club. As for getting to race start, I think that we'll just plan to be at Epcot and catch one of the buses from the parking lot over to WWoS.

Graet advice, We have access to a car that week but we were thinking we may have to hail a cab. I will have to keep this in mind and since we are AP holders I may just park the car in the lot till after. We are staying at SSR.

Last year after the race we walked over to the Beach Club and the CM at the front desk called a cab for us. It only took about 10 minutes for it to arrive and we were on our way.

I almost stayed at AoA and they told me that I all I needed to do when I was ready to go was tell a CM that I needed a cab back to my resort and they would get one for me. There will be plenty of cabs.

In the end I decided to stay at All Star Sports for budgetary reasons, but that was good to know.

First WDW race I stayed off site (gasp).

After race just walked out the gates by the ticket and there were a ton of taxis waiting.

So if you decide not to do an IG hotel, you still have options.
