How difficult to book grand villa Christmas time?

I thought of another question... we are most likely planning for Christmas, or just after thru New years 2019. So, I am wondering how difficult it is to book a GV or 2-2 bedrooms at AKV at 7 months? Because if I do purchase another contract it will be at BLT and I would have to book at 7 months to combine points.. so that may be another issue for me.

Even Saratoga often has holes at 7.

As has been mentioned elsewhere by others, I would not go out and buy another contract for occasional trips in a GV until you've used the contract you have, and also you need to consider how much you wish to subsidize the travel of the people who would be coming with in a GV, as you'd be paying member dues on additional contracts every year as well as buy-in.

Any number of DVC members can tell stories of how they learned not to travel with some relatives, or about relatives who treat the DVC as though it is free and make demands about it.

Yes.. I have heard... that would be horrible !! I have time to consider.... at first I thought we needed 300 points and we would if we went every year...so I am going to wait I think a while, get my points and see.. if we go every year, its worth adding points... that's pretty much the decision.
