We have a dinner booked at The Wave, because we've been to WDW quite a few times and we always like to try someplace different on each trip. I've recently read one or two bad reviews...if you've eaten at The Wave recently, how did you like it? Why?

We were there 2 weeks ago. We really enjoyed it!!! I too wanted to try something different this trip. It was such a nice break form the parks and so nice to have a meal not geared towards the kids! The food was very good and we had good service. My kids even enjoyed it and asked to go back! You should give it a try!! I would definately go back again!!!:thumbsup2

We haven't been recently but a year ago it was one of the best meals of our trip! Our review & pics is in the link below. I just booked it for our upcoming trip so DH can try it!

Well, that's good news so far! The photos I've seen of the restaurant and the food look great, and so does the menu, but a few reports of bad food and service had me curious...

We are staying at the Contemporary in a week and plan to check this out, the menu is right up my DD's ally.

We ate there for dinner on 9/18. I thought it was different food, but very good. DH had the braised lamb shank (which was tender and delicious) and I had the pork tenderloin (it cam with two pieces, one was drier, the other more tender, but still very good.). We didn't care so much for the desserts, but they were fine. We really enjoyed this restaurant. We were on the DDP, so we didn't pay out of pocket.

Would I pick it again? Maybe, depending on our plans and if it worked out (we stayed at the Poly this time and I didn't want to drive or take buses during our 3 day trip, monorail places only).

Yum.

Loved it, in the top 3 of our 2 week stint but our girl Ashley was the best of all the waiters and waitresses including of the 4 signature places we ate at!

We went on Sept 19th. It was wonderful. My son who is a salmon addict said it was the best salmon he has ever had. It was the sustainable fish for that day. My daughter had the beef tenderloin and I had the flank steak. I couldn't get a bit of the salmon but the tenderloin was very tender and flavorful. The chimichuri with the flank steak was also very good.

we've been there twice now. we loved it both times. we were just there last month and we had the tenderloin and it was delicious. our 9yr dd loves their milkshakes cause they put condense milk in them!!! yummmm! we have another ressie for our upcoming dec. trip, can't wait!

We were there a few weeks ago and would definately go back. Not sure about the fish but you can not go wrong with the tenderloin.

We ate there in March and Aug and it was out of this world fantastic...tons of pics and reviews in both links in my signature

I could have written your post - right down to the menu selections, the feelings about the desserts and staying at the Poly! We were there in June. I'd go back, but I wasn't really "wowed".

The quality of the beef tenderloin that I had there was out of this world! I loved the desserts here too...there is so much choice! I also thought that the service was very good too, quick and attentive with very good suggestions made for the wine.

We ate there monday nite and the food was very good. The menu had changed some since we ate there in June. I had the filet and it came with mashed white beans which didn't sound too good to me but were surprisingly good--even DS9 ate them and like it. My steak was cooked perfectly. DH had the flat iron steak and said it was very good--the only thing he didn't like was the pile of watercress which he didn't know what it was and the waitress even commented that it wasn't a popular side item (its new on a couple of menus). DH said the steak was good enough he would order again. If your on the DDP they do offer smoothies and milk shake choices as your drink--since the desserts are 'samples' and we were going to watch Spectro magic and fireworks after our meal I opted to just have water and asked for a chocolate milkshake to go---it was killer good!! DS and I fought over it. Waitress was very prompt and helpful and we never felt rushed and took us about an hour to eat. Many of the TS have pomegranate lemonade now and its very good--menus just say lemonade and we just started asking if they had it. We've done the DDP several times and didn't know at several places the drink options included smoothies and milk shake choices. We now ask and if they have it as an option I ask for it to go--no problems anywhere--Wave, Le Cellier, Coral Reef all had that option.
Hope that helps some.
