How did you like the WDW Christmas parade?

The highlight for me was the GO GO DVC commercial..not even a part of the show! I watched parts here and there in between getting breakfast for the family after church. of the show itself, i thought the john hurley BE OUR GUEST was the best part..he seemed genuinely happy to be there.

That commercial was definitely the highlight for me too-especially since I was in the Boardwalk Lobby watching it being filmed. Didn't you see me with the lime green Mickey head? I must have been in the backround for a whole 1/100th of a second, but if you taped it, rewound the tape over and over, slow motion, pause, use binocculars... You mean you didn't? I did!

I had it on but was too busy to sit and watch it fully, from what I did see it looked like one big WDW commercial to me. Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch it tonight. (Modern Marvels was Fantastic though!)

Liked it. It was def. one big Disney commercial, but that didn't bother me. I did not think Star Jones was the right person for their DVC commercial though (the SSR walk through). Who here thinks Star Jones really would stay at Saratoga Springs? Grand villa or not? I think not.

I think it actually gets worse every year. I have been watching since the beginning and I am about ready to give it up . . .

It always has been just that . .

Who was that god awful Latin singer at the end?!?!?!?!!? I believe she said "resheeve" instead of "receive" . . .

That was Paulina Rubio. She was auful, I agree.

Oops! DH and I thought it was Shakira...with clothes on!:rotfl:

I liked the segment about Expedition Everest.

I am not sure how the parade went and we where there on Christmas morning. There was actually thunderstorms and rain in the morning. :umbrella: The electricity went out throughout the whole park for about 25 minutes in the morning. All the rides, restaurants and stores closed down during the power outage for security and safety reasons. It was crazy to have everyone out on the streets of WDW not able to go anywhere. We left Magic Kingdom about 11:30 and knew the parade was suppose to be televised at 10:00 am? I assume they delayed everything becuase of the rain and power outage? My friend who watched it said it looked very sunny :confused3?

The parade is not live. It is taped during the first week of Dec. Some parts are taped earlier than that.

That makes sense. At least now I know why my friend said it looked really sunny during the parade. :rotfl:

I video captured the parade and I looked at the commercial for you, but could not spot the lime green Mickey head (try as I may). What were you wearing (for that 1/100th of a second)?

I was there for the taping, so I was paying more attention to the background than the parade (Never saw myself though- darn!) It was a little traumatic to have to hear "Cheeta-licious Christmas" again, though.

I was surprised that they didn't really show any of Epcot/MGM/AK!

I liked the part at the end with the people at all the different parks singing, but something felt weird about having the China & Japan ones singing Christmas songs, since they're mostly Buddhist/Taoist/etc. My favorite part was definitly the FOLK cast, since it's my favorite thing at WDW!

I agree- Kelly didn't seem very enthusiastic at all!

At the end, Kelly seemed a little Irritated, Especially the segment where she's talking about Reg's Christmas album. Her smile was very forced.

For Kahana-Ri, Most of the Parade was taped the first weekend of December. You had to have special passes. It was very sunny and very warm, uncomfortably so. I was there and got a sunburn during the taping. *chuckles*
