How did you like Jiko's?

DH & I may try Jiko's for the first time in August but I am not sure what to expect...?? I checked out the menu and nothing jumped out at me, but DH didn't care much for Boma's and he wanted to try some place new when we stay at the AKL.

Any reviews? TIA!

We have been to Jiko several times. Have never been disappointed. It is our favorite restaurant.

At first I was afraid to try some of the menu items until our server explained what the ingredients were and how they were prepared.

We will be going back in December while we are staying at the AKL.

We enjoyed the Asparagus Soup, the corn tamales and the Filet Mignon and Monkfish for dinner. I regret not trying the Chicken Flatbread

My family and I had our first meal at Jiko's this past Dec. and loved it. We all shared some of the flatbreads as an app. and then for our entrees I think most of us had steak...can't really remember. I know DW and I had the Steak with Mac and cheese and it was awesome. One of our favorite meals on the trip and I'm sure we'll dine there again.

We loved Jiko's! I had a four cheese flatbread and filet. DH had some sort of beef rolls and a filet. We shared a dessert sampler. Jiko's is just wonderful and I can't wait to go back!

Their Monkfish is excellent as is the Lamb Shank. The flatbreads change from time to time, but we had a BBQ Chicken flatbread last trip and it was excellent.
Their wine list is supurb, and the Tusker Beer is pretty good also.
Our preferred server at JIko is Ron--ask for him and you'll be delighted with the service, along with his food/wine recommendations.
