How Did You Create Your DIS Name?

The JJ is a nickname I use for online websites (my name is Janine) and Alice in Wonderland/Through the looking glass are my favorite books of all time (and favorite Disney movie.) I also grew up on the 85' version with Sammy Davis Jr., Red buttons, and Shelly Winters (even though I was afraid of the Jabberwocky). It could also be that I am told I am in my own little backwards world all the time haha.

I joined in the very early days of the boards -- 13 or 14 years ago. It was earlier than the date in my profile because everyone's profile was wiped out during one of the very early board updates. Back then, the site creator, Pete Werner, routinely posted. Everyone was picking Disney character names. Of course, they ran out pretty quickly. My youngest daughter's favorite movie is/was Lion King and I always liked the Rafiki character, so . . . I don't know how many of us with the original character names are left around here anymore; I know I don't see many of the original character names or many people with old join dates. As you can see, I don't post much, but I have lurked pretty continuously.

All the Mickey names I liked were taken. I looked out the window saw my street sign and decided to add Way . Not very creative but hey I got a mickey name and that was what I wanted.

I had 4 younger brothers. The one that I was closest to died in a diving accident. His nickname for me was jujube so that is the name I chose to use.

My name is the little girl from Song of the South. I knew this was a busy board so I tried to pick the most obscure Disney character I could think of.

Squirrel because it rhymes with girl, and I'm a girl.

Dolphin because when I get excited about stuff (especially Disney) I run around squealing like a dolphin.

So one day I was being silly/excited about something and my husband called me a DolphinSquirrel. I thought it would be a good name when I signed up to post on here.

When my kids were younger they started calling me Mim because they said that whenever we were at Disney (or any other place) when they said Mom all the mothers would turn. They also say that I am so special to them that I needed a special name so....Mim!! The Disney part of my name is obvious!!

My username comes from an email address I've had since high school, before I ever thought I'd go to WDW much less become an addict and well before the pirates craze. Pirate is a throw to my colleget mascot, girl is obvious but mostly added that b/c my brothers is pirateboy and the 007 is b/c I forgot my password for my regular address and had to make a new on and add numbers when I re-created it. By the time I became a disney addict the name just fit and I kept using it.

Our Dis name came from Mickey, of course, and my all time favorite role of his, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Also, we've always watched The Apprentice so that had a little to do with it as well.
