those that are at this point in life - what do you make sure you get enough of now?

I have upped my vitamin intake, there is a book out by Louise Gittleman, called Before the Change, it is really a good book that explains some of the different symptoms that women go through and what vitamins and supplements to take to ease them. It also gives a diet plan which is a little extreme for me but some of the things in the book really do help. One thing that I noticed is taking primrose oil has helped with the changing moods and anxiety that I have. Also it explains about what can help hot flashes if you suffer from those. All I can say is menapause has been a frustrating change so far for me, the weight gain is not to cool and the challege and struggle I go through just to lose a few pounds sometimes makes me want to give up but I know that I can't. Sorry to go on like this..

I just added a calcium supplement.

I have added a calcium supplement (Viactiv) Mmmmmm... I also have roasted soybeans everyday. (They don't eliminate flashes, but for me, they tone down the temperature--and they're good for the heart.)
