Does any1 know when Southwest realeased their February datesw. I've been checking for months and go to their website today only to find out that on February 19 there are no seats avalible left. How did this happen? When were the dates released?:(

I hear ya! I've been watching them for February too but when I checked them yesterday the good flights were unavailable. The only ones left were flying in to Orlando late and returning home early and weren't even a very good price at that. Check Travelocity. I got about $200 R/T with early arrival and late depature. Not great but less than the $300+ each Southwest wanted for lousy travel times.

:D They may not have been sold out as the were probably "unavailable" due to the fact it is school vacation week in most states. Were all the prices unavailable or only the cheap internet fares? That week in Feb is blackout dates for most airlines. :D

Steve ~ I think the internet special fares were just unavailable. I don't think there were no flights available, just not the good prices. The only flights left were those arriving late at night and departing early for the return and those were mostly the expensive refundable fares. Cheapest was around $139 one-way. I'm sure the flights aren't sold out just the good fares already sold or like you said blacked out for those times. Not worth the $300+ per person for my dates.

i needed to fly out feb 19 and waited for swa schedule.

i have freq flier miles and while i'm on the phone with the person making the reservation, the cost of the tickets went up---TWICE!

i ended up paying a little extra out of pocket to get my free tickets but it was still cheaper than paying almost $1600 for 4 tickets.

i'm getting worried that feb 19 is going to be a busy week in orlando! not only is it president's week, but i just found out mass has their feb vacation this year along with us in NH

maps ~ I was thinking the same thing but I am in central NH and we have our vacation starting 2/26 so I am hoping it is late enough to avoid some of the winter break crowds and early enough to avoid the spring break crowds. Should be a good time anyway especially since it is an unexpected trip for us and it is always good to get away from the cold in the northeast.

President's week and the days right before and after are going to be tough. The tickets are going to be at a premium as more and more school's use this as a week off. If you find a price thats even 1/2 way decent I'd jump on it.

We originally were going to ft. lauderdale 2/19-2/25 and it was going to run about 450.00 pp on SW. I bumped us down to 2/22-2/27 and our fares went down to only $311

It appears that for some days (like the first Saturday and the last Sunday) are completely unavailable, as in seats already all sold. Ouch! Glad I wasn't counting on them. There was a thread yesterday with someone asking when folks thought these fares would go down (as in first Sat and last Sun of Feb break); I didn't want to sound mean, but I had to point out that they can and will sell all of these seats full price, they don't need to discount them, especially the most convenient dates.

Of course a couple of weeks back, Independence Air was selling February Break tix for $88 each way, with an arduous connection of course, but under $200 r-t for Feb break was a great deal. Those tix are now up over $350 r-t.

Good luck to all who are still looking!

Does SWA sell these tix over the ohone at regular price, Presidents Week 1sr Saturday b4 they r released online?

I purchased by phone since I had one RR ticket and needed to purchase one. I called after I saw that they went on sale online.
IIRC last year when I phoned SW couldn't get the schedule on their computer, even though the tickets were selling on line. They told me to call back in a little while, but I was afraid the seats would sell out online. Luckily, I was able to get the tickets shortly thereafter.
