How did it get here so fast???

It seemed like forever waiting for our 1st trip and watching the countdown and now its at 17 days and I am thinking, "I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO!!"
Trying not to stress but I still have things to buy, (shorts, light jacket, etc.) and the selection in the stores has not been that great yet. Plus the weather her just sucks and now they are saying winter is gonna hang on for a couple more weeks and we are driving. One of my worst fears is some winter storm on our way down. We are used the the snow here but travelling unfamiliar roads and moutains in the snow is freaking me out.

I think I need to take a deep breath and chill BUT THERE'S NO TIME!! lol.

I totally feel your pain! 6 days to go here, and I have a total of ONE pair of shorts to my name. Even better, there's a raging blizzard going on outside, so I'm sitting in here, looking at the luggage sitting in my living room, with the flight tickets on top... and just sitting here. I don't think DH and DD will be able to stand to be around me by the end of this week

i know what you mean about so much to do... BUT since my girls only know that we ARE going to WDW and not WHEN. I CANT PREPACK! Everything has to be done the day before we leave...EVERYTHING..

I recently started keeping up with the laundry as a habit so they wouldnt be suspicious if i suddenly started doing all the laundry in the house.. but man itching to pack!

I'm leaving a day earlier than I first thought (This Friday) and I haven't even started getting ready! I need to go to the mall and buy some short pants and I need to locate our swim suits and all kinds of stuff. And I'm so ancy I can't hardly function!!!

We leave in four days and I have so much to do......hair cuts, oil change, car wash, shopping, finish packing. Having a hard time finding swim diapers and new beach towels here. We had snow flurries today but nothing major. Kids are packed except for socks and underwear. Most of our clothes are stacked on dresser. Would like to get the house neat and tidy before we leave but it isn't looking like it'll happen. Oh well, we will be in Disney soon....

What Part of Tenn. are you in? I have family in Bristol and my mom is from western VA so we always drive through Kingsport and Erwin when we are going to visit my uncles. My mom and dad used to live in Nashville too before I was born.

We live right outside Chattanooga, TN. Some areas around here got a good bit of snow this morning. My ds stood by the radio asking them to please say his school was closed but no such luck today. Some schools in our area were closed and I think some of the mountains and Cumberland county got an inch or so. It was coming down pretty good. Kind of scary because several years ago in March we got a huge snow system that dumped about 18 inches of snow. For us, that is a lot and technically shut down the road system here, we just aren't prepared to deal with it, it happens so rarely. That would be just great, planning on driving and be stranded at home because of snow.

I thought that was going to happen to us last year, we left on Feb. 28 of 04 and it actually snowed in SC! The one time I didn't want to see snow, but luckily we were still able to drive in it and by the time we got near Columbia there was no sign of it.

Lets just all think good thoughts about the weather. If I am this stressed at 17 days I can just imagine how I am going to be by the time we leave. I have all of these perfect plans in my head about everything being done ahead of time and the house clean (hate coming home to messy house) but with a full time job and a 5 yr old, things will just have to get done when they get done.
I plan on getting the suitcases down this weekend so I can at least start packing. Have been picking up little incidentals for weeks but the list is still large. I have taken a vow NOT to overpack. I am the worst overpacker.

Just watchin the snow pile up and dreaming of Mickey!

I'm leaving in 4 DAYS! All I keep thinking about is what else I have to do, I can hardley concentrate at work... pretty pathetic!
