How deep is the water at CC?

I was wondering about how deep the water is at CC and if there are any sudden drop offs in the bottom when walking in the water. I don't swim so I don't want to be walking in thigh deep water and all at once take a step and be up to my neck. I know I will have to allow for waves with it being the ocean but I wasn't sure about the bottom? Any help would be appreciated.

i don't know exactly how deep castaway cay is, but when i was there the water was absolutely clear - i could see my feet and everything around them at all times. so you'd be able to see if it got deeper.

The water is quite shallow and you can walk out a long way. Even where it gets deeper, where people are mostly snorkeling, it isn't very deep at all. It's a very gradual process - no sudden drop offs.

Yup, what they said. Plus, I don't remember any real waves. Gentle waves, but not like surfer waves.

there is a big barrier that keeps the real waves out, so they are more like gentle ripples than waves. plus as already mentioned it is really clear.
