How crowded the first week in March?

The only time that we can go is the first full week in March. The first time that I went to WDW was during a Spring Break week and since then, I have only gone in the off season. I would rather not go than go when it is that crazy again.
Is the first week in March really a bad time?

Our last trip to Disney was March 1-15, 2003. The weather was great and so were the crowds. Most rides were about a 10-15 minute wait. We only waited about 5 minutes for space mountain. For peak season, it definately didn't seem like it.

Our next trip we want to stay onsite and for that reason we won't be going in March due to the higher rates. I think we are going to try the first two weeks of May. I wish March wasn't considered peak season or I'd definately go again during that time.

We go to WDW around the 11th for DS3 birthday (past two years) and have not had a problem AT ALL with crowds!! We did utilize fastpass a couple times last year, but we never had a long wait. We even rode on the Buzz ride 3 times in the row (and each time, we waited less than 10 minutes in line). I think this year will be OK, especially since Easter is in April (and therefore, spring breaks will be closer to that time, too). HTH!

The first week is great..little cool in am, and you might need a sweater or sweatshirt in the pm. Crowds are fairly low, and usually just a saturday at MK is a little busier than other days. We are going the 8-15 th but we have also done the 7th-17th too. I got all my adr's that I could want...I hope you have a great trip
