How crowded is SAB at BC/YC?

Is SAB alot more crowded since the BC villas opened? We were there in May 02 just before they opened and SAB wasn't very crowed. We stayed at the YC in August of 01 and it seemed sort of crowded but not bad. We are going to be there in July and was just curious.

I think it really depends on the time of year.

We were there May 2 - 9th. In the mornings the crowds were light, it would pick up around lunch and stay that way until 4 or so. There were still chairs left but if you wanted 2 or more together you would have to move them around. I would imagine in the summer season the crowd level would increase.

To ensure a good place, I would get there before 10:30 or 11:00.

we were there in october and it wasn't bad at all. the weather was beautiful ... but we never had a hard time finding chairs or finding a hot tub that was almost empty

Thanks for the replies, I don't care about the chairs I'm usually in the pool, in the shade near the hot tubs, "Heaven on Earth".

We were there last week and there was plenty of room. It is an enormus place and has a lot chairs and lounges. We never had a problem. In July with the resorts full, I am sure that it gets pretty crowded.

minniefan4ever - Were you there last week? We were there the 4th through the 8th and went every evening and had no problems finding multiple seats.

I've been there both before and after BCV's opened. Since you're going in the summer, SAB Will be MOBBED. If you get there early in the AM, you'll have no problem finding a chair, but if you plan on showing up around lunch or during early afternoon, you'll definately have difficulty finding loungers together. The pool gets VERY crowded, with the line for the slide usually coming about halfway down the stairs. There is a noticiable difference in how crowded the pool gets in the AM. When we were before BCV's, the pool would stay relatively uncrowded until around Noon or so. But with the addition, the pool looks MOBBED by Noon. We love SAB, but the crowds are one of the reasons we're staying at BWV's this year.
