How crowded is Presidents week?

How crowded is presidents week compared to other holidays? Ex: christmas, easter, summer months? Is the week before or after presidents week less crowded? We have always gone in the spring or fall when the crowds are low. Also, in the summer, when is it the "least crowded" if there is a thing? Trying to plan a trip when the kids might be off this time. Thanks.

I would expect it to be pretty busy. All DVC resorts are pretty much sold-out. It won't be Christmas but I would think it's comparable to summer. This is prime vacation time for all of Florida where summer is only popular at WDW. The week prior is still Value season for the resorts so that would be better choice for a lower crowd. From President's Day until the end of April will be busy at WDW with snow birds, spring break, Easter, etc., etc.

In the summer months, if you can go in late August the crowds will be a little less (and the temps & humidity a little higher). Southern schools start mid-August so that cuts back on the crowds a bit during the week.

We were there one year over President's Day by accident (we didn't pay attention to the calendar, we don't usually get that as a holiday) and it was terrible! Very crowded! I would not recommend going at that time if you can help it.

We often go in early February, however, and find the crowds to be very thin. We can usually walk right on the rides, or at most a short wait!

In fact, we're going in just a few weeks!!! First visit home to BCV.

Ditto...we also miscalculated President's week a few years back...it was brutal.We now try to shoot for March 1 the week just prior to all the Spring/March(in Canada EH) breaks.Yes it involves pulling the kids out a little early but for your own sanity and enjoyment it's probably worth it....especially if you are use to travelling at low season....like us.
