There is a cheerleading convention going on in WDW during that time, and many areas of the country are on spring break. The good news is that the worst crowds will be there the two weeks after you leave. You should concentrate on MK and other popular rides your first few days. The last couple of days you are there may be a little wild.

There are actually 2 different cheerleading competitions in mid-March. I think the second one is done on the 14th or 16th. I imagine there will be several sticking around for the rest of the week, especially if they are on Spring Break.
I live in Ontario and that is our elementary school "march break" I can tell you that there are tons of Canadians heading to Florida and they will all be at Disney! The crowds are insane. Because my children are only 5 & 7 we go before March Break and pull them out of school just to avoid it. Good Luck!
We will be in Disneyland in the middle of March,(the 15th). I was wondering if anyone knew how crowded the park would be around that time and also how would the weather be like at that time of the year. Also, what time does the park close? I heard that Fantasmic will not be showing since we are going in the middle of the week, could there be a chance of any change?
