Hi all - My family and extended family are all planning a trip for next spring when the kids are on spring vacation. My question is, are we insane? How crowded is this. My family has previously gone in May 2000 and then in March 2001, so going in April might be the perfect weather if the crowds are manageable.

Thanks for any input you might have.

Tom.

I think it all depends on how far after Easter you go. The week immediately following Easter is a madhouse and it gets better each week after that. We went the third week following Easter in 2002 and it was really nice- nice weather and manageable crowds.

Good Luck!

sounds good. Easter this coming year is 4/11. So we would head down the wednsday after that for 10 days. Hopefully the crowds would have peaked at Easter and then from this point they would be receding... Thanks.

This year, I was there the second week after Easter, which was the last week of April into the first part of May and we LOVED it then. We had always gone in the summer. We found the weather to be much nicer, warm during the days (high 80's to low 90's) and very nice at night ( high 60's). It wasn't very crowded either. For most things, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes. At Test Track, we got into the park just as it opened at 9:00, walked over to Test Track and had ridden it twice by 9:45. We were pretty pleased with that. I'm not sure we would go in the summer again! It was our first trip without the kids, and it was just as magical, if not more so! We are headed back for a long weekend end of September, so we'll see how we like that time of year!
